Legal and Usage Notice
This is an independent, unofficial open-source project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or supported by Dalux ApS. “Dalux” and related names and marks belong to their respective owner.
The maintainer has never contacted Dalux about this project. No approval, permission, confirmation, endorsement, or interpretation of Dalux’s terms has been requested from or provided by Dalux.
However, the maintainer has the rights to use Dalux’s publicly documented API endpoints. He has full authorization to use the API for his own account and has confirmed that the API is available for use by any authorized Dalux user. The maintainer has not received any special access or rights from Dalux, and this project does not provide any such access or rights to its users.
Two separate sets of rights
The MIT license applies only to the original code in this repository. It permits commercial use of that code, but it does not grant any right to use, access, resell, sublicense, or provide Dalux software, services, documentation, trademarks, API specifications, data, or accounts.
Access to the Dalux Build API is separate. Every user and operator must:
- obtain their own valid Dalux subscription, API access, and credentials;
- use the API only for companies, projects, data, and purposes authorized by their agreement with Dalux and by applicable law;
- comply with the Dalux terms and any project license or other agreement that applies to them; and
- keep credentials private and avoid bypassing authentication, rate limits, licensing controls, or other technical restrictions.
This project does not provide Dalux subscriptions, API keys, accounts, or authorization. Example values are placeholders only. Do not commit, publish, share, or bundle real credentials.
Commercial and hosted use
Commercial use of this project’s MIT-licensed code does not by itself authorize commercial use of Dalux’s API or Services. The scope of permitted Dalux use depends on the user’s own agreement with Dalux. The published terms for noncommercial use apply to the free Services described there and restrict, among other things, resale, transfer, and sublicensing of those Services. They should not be read as a blanket authorization for commercial API use.
Before using this project commercially, for multiple customers, or as part of a hosted service, obtain confirmation from Dalux that the intended use is covered by the applicable agreement. Do not operate a service that gives third parties Dalux access through credentials or entitlements they are not independently authorized to use. Operators are responsible for access control, credential isolation, data protection, and ensuring that every API call is within the credential owner’s licensed scope.
No additional rights or warranty
This project interacts with documented HTTP endpoints. Nothing in this project authorizes reverse engineering of Dalux software or circumvention of Dalux controls. Copies of upstream API material in this repository are provided only as point-in-time development references and remain subject to any rights and terms applicable to that material.
This notice is informational, not legal advice. Dalux controls its terms and may change them. Review the terms and agreement that apply to your account and seek written confirmation from Dalux or independent legal advice when the permitted scope is uncertain.
